Approved Projects
The ACS Board of Directors, who received advice and recommendations from the ACS Biofuels Advisory Group, committed funding to the following projects:
- Tisdale Alfalfa Dehy Ltd. for their Tisdale Ethanol Project ($280,000 committed)
- Cypress Agri Energy Inc. for their Cypress Agri Energy Producers and Community Ethanol Expansion Initiatve ($101,250 committed)
- Peacock Industries for their Mustard Oil as a Biofuel Feedstock project ($18,750 committed)
- Prairie Ethanol Consortium Inc. for their Integrated Ethanol Shared Business Planning Initiative ($300,000 committed)
- Quill Plains Biofuel Co-operative Ltd. to develop a business plan to build an ethanol production facility near Watson ($300,000 committed)
- Gardiner Dam Terminal Ltd. for their Ethanol Production Facility project ($262,500 committed)
- South Parkland REDA for their Ethanol Facility Pre-Engineering and Environmental Assessment project ($167,250 committed)
- Nipawin Biomass Ethanol New Generation Co-operative Ltd. for their Fuel Grade Ethanol from Residual Cellulosic Biomass project ($155,662 committed)
- Western Bioenergy Inc. for their Feasibility Study, Project Development and Business Plan for Biofuel Production in North Battleford SK project ($117,825 committed)
- Yellow Gold Energy for their Yellow Gold Energy project ($300,000 committed)
- 101085665 Saskatchewan Ltd. for their Bracken and Community Biodiesel Project 2 ($52,500 committed)
- Nipawin Biomass Ethanol New Generation Co-operative Ltd. for their Catalyst Demonstration for Biomass Ethanol Production project ($300,000 committed)
- Paradigm Energy Corp for their Environmental Assessment - Project Planning Studies for a 40 ML Ethanol Plant in Moosomin, Saskatchewan ($104,250 committed)
- Saskatchewan Biofuels Development Council Inc. for their Opportunities and Challenges for Marketing Saskatchewan Biofuels project ($45,000 committed)
- Prairie Ethanol Consortium Inc. for their Co-Marketing Opportunities Linking Integrated Ethanol Proponent Groups ($300,000 committed)
In total, $2,804,987 is committed to Saskatchewan biofuels projects, money which will be used to help agricultural producers in the development of sound, well documented business plans, feasibility and other studies for projects that have significant producer ownership.
