There are many benefits to becoming a member of ACS!
ACS’s members make a difference in Saskatchewan's agriculture and agri-food industry. Provincial organizations, legally incorporated in the province of Saskatchewan with an interest in advancing agriculture and agri-food in the province are encouraged to become members of ACS. There are many benefits of membership, including:
- The right to vote at all ACS general meetings
- The ability to have a representative serve on the ACS board of directors
- Free attendance and lunch at the Annual General Meeting (held in June)
- Discounts on ACS events, seminars and workshops
- Member recognition in the ACS newsletter and on the ACS website
- A subscription to the ACS newsletter and E-newsletter
The cost of membership is $200, due annually.
There is only one class of membership with ACS – full membership. All members of ACS have full voting rights. Member organizations are asked to identify both a primary and secondary member representative. Every member is entitled, through its representative to one vote on each question at an ACS meeting. The primary representative is entitled to the vote but in the absence of the primary representative, the secondary representative is given the vote. If interested, member representatives of ACS have the opportunity to become directors of ACS, through the election held at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
ACS Supporters
ACS will accept provincial, regional or local organizations, groups or individuals with an interest in advancing agriculture, agri-food and rural communities in Saskatchewan as “Supporters” of ACS. Provincial and federal government departments can also be “Supporters” of ACS.
